This string quartet employs the pitch drift inherent in Just Intonation to develop a single hymn-like theme while slowly drifting from A major to F major without ever formally changing keys - and without ever departing from a Just major scale.
The recording included a “proof of concept”, as the piece itself has never been performed in its entirety.
